Constant advancements of technology in our current society is inevitable. It is with this continual change where consumer expectations are evolving as fast as new and improved technology is put on the market. This is clearly seen within the hospitality industry, where guests are able to inform themselves about establishments and base their final decision on reviews posted over various social media platforms. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a prevailing topic of interest as it is digitalising most aspects of a guest’s stay from when they check-in, to their general amenities until they check out again. Regardless of technological advancements, guests are demanding more individualisation of their stay over the accommodation they are vacating at. This new form of luxury within the hospitality industry gives the consumer a sense of freedom and control over their stay. It is for this reason that an improved IT infrastructure, including AI advancements would improve a guest’s overall experience as it would provide them with a unique stay.
